not to worry, mets fans. it is going to cool down behind that. this weekend, the temperatures are back in the 40s for daytime highs there might be a few light showers on saturday night. maybe some of you might see a few snow flurries to the north and west. not as much as last time, i'm sure. right now temperatures range from 39 in monticello to the mid 50s across parts of long island and connecticut. to the north we see the coldest air. back to the south and west, already seeing 50s and near 60 in cleveland and pittsburgh. so that's what is moving our way. with the rain, mind you, it will be coming in in the morning. we expect the leading edge with the lighter showers to move through around 7:00. might see some heavier showers across long island. by midday, we're seeing the heavier rain. from midnight until about 4:00 or 5:00 in the afternoon. some of you could get some pretty heavy rain showers with moran than an inch expected. parts of northern new jersey, through catskills, poconos, over the east end of long island, even downpours are expected around the city with a half inch of rain. so 43 tonight. 40s and 30s generally tonight,

through the night with gusty south winds. we might see some wind gusts over 30, 40 miles per hour tomorrow afternoon. possibly even up to 50 miles an hour when some of the thunderstorms come through. so just be aware of that. winds will die down after that going into friday. it will be brisk, but not that bad. the weekend, we had to prepare for more chilly temperatures. still below average. by some 15 degrees. only in the 40s during the day. but by sunday, should it be nice and sunny. it's just that saturday will have a mix of clouds and a few showers here and there. so once again, with the seven-day forecast, we are up and down in the temperature department. get your rain gear ready for tomorrow. next big chance for rain after tomorrow will be again next week on tuesday. and that's the next big warm day. we're back up to 60. can't seem to coordinate now. warm temperatures with the sunshine. but eventually that will happen. probably by the middle of next week. >> okay, just not eventually yet. >> it's not here yet, no. all right. so bruce, there is always times to redeem yourself in sports. >> exactly.
